I kinda don't want to answer this part so there will always be available rooms when traveling in the area BUT whats right is right..... We had two different styles of rooms and they were very spacious, in better terms the correct word is HUGE and they were all VERY clean. There was even a choice of the kind of pillow you like to use. If the price is right when we return to the area I will always try to reserve here first.
Whats wrong is wrong... so... here is why I had to give my negative. The only reason for the lower score on the staff rating was because there was a communication break down at the Comfort Suites. I had submitted 4 days prior to our stay though Booked.net to add a room 1 day earlier then the rest of our party and it was not updated at C-Suites. The problem was quickly resolved due to an available room for them at C-Suites. I think we got LUCKY!! Let me explain a little.... At the time when there trying to check in I received the dreaded phone call from our friends that they was NO reservation to check in the day early for them so I had to call Booked.net to get things sorted out. Booking had the confirmation ID number on the fax that was sent of the update so a call was made by booking to the C-Suites to make sure all of us were on the same page. The front desk reassured Booking to make sure there would not be any more surprises :) From now on I know I will always make a phone call of the change to the place of stay to confirm the change(s) have been made to my initial reservation.
The place wasn't secure. You could go in and out of side door without a card.
The location was very convenient to OSU. But neighborhood was marginal. Very easy access interstate. The breakfast was limited but good for inclusion in room rate..
Rooms were dirty, carpet was filthy. AC was ineffective. Light blocking shade was missing and allowed light into room.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and nice and roomy. The breakfast was a nice set up and was pretty good. We would stay there again if we are in the area!
Reception staff very good and efficient, room large and clean, facilities plentiful.
The hotel was very nice inside, seemed very clean, the breakfast had something for everyone including Danish, cold cereals, yogurt, bagels, make your own waffles, my husband liked the eggs and sausage patties.
I thought I was getting a hotelcloser to the medical center at Ohio State Univ...it is right across from the fairgrounds which would have been ok if that was where we were going. But our GPS took us over some horrible narrow, windy, zig-zag, pothole filled roads past college student parking down one-way streets to the medical center! Yikes. And the handicap parking left a lot to be desired...The door near the side of the bldg had easy access for luggage but there was also a curb -- hard to get luggage over the curb and totally inaccessible to someone in a wheelchair (my husband). The marked handicap parking you'd have to go out the front door, make a turn down alongside the building to the ramp and then make a turn to the parking. Just kinda funky. The handicap accessible bathroom had a large step into the tub/shower...had lots of grab bars but my husband has a back problem and found it impossible to lift his leg far enough to get in the tub/shower. Let's put it this way...the step into the tub was higher than a usual tub height.
The location, not in a very nice area. Only restaurant in the area was a McDonalds.
Bed was great. Room was large and comfortable, with fridge & mircrowave & nice tv. Bathroom was good.
Breakfast had lots of choices and everything was good. Even coffee choices were good and the eating area was large with a nice tv. I would have preferred scrambles eggs instead of the pancake kind but all in all there was enough food to choose from.
Bed was comfortable and breakfast was adequate, but reasonable for the money.
Windows were so dirty you could t see outside. Outside doors were not secure, so didn't feel so safe.
The staff was very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and had a fridge, safe, and microwave. In addition, they provided a continental breakfast. This was our first time here, and would definitely recommend it. It's only minutes away from downtown as well.
The bed was great . Lots of pillows. Firm mattress.
The breakfast sausage was inedible.
The beds were comfortable, and room clean and breakfast was good.
There was dust ontop of furniture in lobby. Lobby furniture had not been dusted in a while.
Comfortable beds and clean bathrooms. The hotel is under renovation so the common area is little dusty.
The telephone and TV was not working the night of stay. Also, the hotel advertised continental breakfast and that was not true. The front desk had gab bags when we arrived earlier morning but not allow to take one. I would not recommend this hotel for those reasons.
That the family could stay in the room together we had 4 adults and three small kids under age 4. The grand kids got to spend the last weekend with ther aunt before going back to college.
The hotel is basic. Location is not walkable although it appears to be on a map. No huge complaints but room was a little dilapidated and staff was polite but no more. Expect highway noise which may disturb light sleepers.
